Biodegradable Definition

When we talk about biodegradable materials, we’re referring to materials that can be broken down by natural processes into simpler, organic matter. This process is called biodegradation, and it’s a key part of the global carbon cycle.

Biodegradable materials are found all around us – from the food we eat to the clothes we wear. And while most biodegradable materials will eventually decompose on their own, there are some things you can do to speed up the process.

For example, if you’re composting your food scraps, make sure to chop them up into small pieces so they break down more quickly. You can also add other biodegradable material like leaves or grass clippings to help create a rich environment for bacteria and fungi to thrive.

The bottom line is that biodegradable materials are an important part of our world, and we should do our best to take care of them.
