Etender Definition

An e-tender is an electronic process for the invitation and submission of tenders, whereby all correspondence, including the request for tender (RFT), conditions of tender, and submissions are exchanged electronically.

E-tendering offers many advantages over traditional paper-based tendering processes, including improved efficiency and transparency, reduced costs, and a more level playing field for small businesses.

The use of e-tendering is growing in popularity, particularly in the public sector where there is a strong focus on ensuring value for money and achieving best value outcomes.
