Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (Pqq)

A Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) is a document used by organizations in the tendering process to identify and select potential suppliers. It is also sometimes known as a Request for Qualification (RFQ).

The PQQ usually contains generic questions about the supplier’s experience, financial stability, quality management systems, health and safety record, environmental policies, etc. The aim of the PQQ is to shortlist a group of suppliers who are best suited to provide the goods or services required by the organization.

Organizations will typically request that interested suppliers submit a PQQ before they are invited to participate in the formal bidding process. This allows the organization to save time and resources by only dealing with suppliers who are likely to be able to meet their requirements.
