Requisitions Definition

A requisition is a formal, written request for something, typically made to an authority or public body. In business, a requisition may be made by an employee to their employer requesting specific goods or services.

A requisition is not the same as an order. An order is a binding contract between two parties to exchange goods or services at a set price; a requisition is simply a request and does not obligate either party to anything.
