Tender Management

Tender management is the process of developing and managing a request for proposals (RFP) from initial planning through contract award. The goal of tender management is to ensure that the RFP results in a contract that meets the buyer’s needs at the best possible value.

Tender management includes all activities associated with the RFP process, including:

-Determining the procurement approach (e.g., sealed bid, competitive negotiation, single source)

-Developing the RFP document

-Distributing the RFP to potential suppliers

-Evaluating proposals and selecting a supplier

-Negotiating and awarding the contract
