A Process Model

When you read the phrase “business process model,” it may conjure up images of someone wearing a suit and sitting in an office, staring at a flow chart on a computer screen. A process model is more than that! The official definition of a business process model is:

Process models are used to understand the business in order to improve it. They capture an organization’s current business processes in such a way that they can be analyzed, improved, and communicated to employees and others outside the organization.
