Annulled Definition

An annulled marriage is a marriage that has been declared null and void by a court. This can happen for a number of reasons, including if it is found to have been entered into under duress or without the consent of both parties. An annulled marriage is not considered to be a valid marriage under the law, and so it cannot be dissolved in the same way as a divorce.
