Average Cost To Notarize A Document

The average cost to notarize a document is, simply put, the expense to have a Notary Public authenticate a signature or other act on a legal document. It involves various fees—including administering oaths and taking affidavits, traveling expenses if necessary, and record-keeping costs—all of which are paid by the requester at the time of service. On average, you can expect to pay between $5 and $15 per notarization depending on your location and type of service required. Of course, it’ll cost more if the Notary must travel or stay late to complete the job. But in the end, it’s worth it for the peace of mind knowing that your documents are legally binding!
