Blanket Purchase

The official business definition of Blanket Purchase is a type of purchasing agreement that allows a business to buy goods or services from a vendor for an extended period of time, usually at a fixed price. In most cases, the agreement is used to streamline the purchasing process by allowing the buyer to make multiple purchases without having to go through the process of issuing a new purchase order each time. This type of agreement is often used to purchase a variety of items that are needed on a regular basis, such as office supplies, janitorial services, or construction materials. Blanket Purchase agreements can also be used to purchase items from multiple vendors, allowing the buyer to take advantage of lower prices or better delivery times. Blanket Purchase orders are typically open-ended and can be canceled at any time, allowing the buyer to adjust their purchasing needs as needed. They are also often used to purchase goods or services
