Breach Of Agreement Definition

A breach of agreement is a violation of the terms of an agreement or contract. The breach can be either material, meaning that it has a major impact on the agreed-upon exchange, or immaterial, meaning that it has little to no effect. In order for a party to be held liable for breaching an agreement, the other party must suffer some form of damages as a result of the breach.
