Certificate Of Origin (Coo)

Certificate Of Origin (Coo)

A Certificate of Origin (COO) is a document used in international trade that certifies that the goods in a shipment originated in a particular country. The COO helps to verify that the tariffs and other trade regulations have been met and provides important information about the product for customs officials.

The COO is typically issued by a Chamber of Commerce or other organization authorized by the exporting country’s government. It must be signed by an authorized representative of the chamber and include the chamber’s seal. The COO must also include:

* The name and address of the exporter

* A description of the goods being exported

* The country of origin of the goods

* The date of export

* The signature of an authorized Chamber representative
