Comprehensive Economic And Trade Agreement (CETA)

An agreement between the European Union and Canada that aims to boost trade and investment between the two economies. The agreement eliminates tariffs on most goods, opens up public procurement markets, protects intellectual property rights and creates opportunities for cooperation on regulatory issues. The agreement also includes provisions on labour mobility, environmental protection and sustainable development.
