Copyright License

A copyright license is an agreement where the copyright owner (licensor) grants another party (licensee) permission to use the copyrighted material in a specific way. When someone holds the exclusive rights to a work, they are allowed to decide how their work will be used; this includes creating special licenses that set out the terms and conditions of usage. By granting a copyright license to another person or entity, the licensor provides them with certain privileges, including reproducing, distributing, publicly displaying, or making modifications to their work. It’s important to note that copyright licenses do not transfer ownership – only the rights to use the work in the ways specified.
