Cost Plus Builder Contract

A Cost Plus Builder Contract is an agreement between a builder and a client whereby the builder agrees to complete a set of construction projects at a given cost, plus an additional fee as compensation for their services. The contract stipulates that the client must pay all costs associated with the project upfront, before any materials are purchased, and will then receive reimbursement in addition to the fee. This contract provides the builder with the security of knowing that they will be paid for their work, and allows the client full transparency into the costs associated with their project – giving them the peace of mind that they won’t receive any unexpected bills down the line.
