Delphi Method

Delphi Method Definition

The Delphi method is a structured way of obtaining expert opinions on a particular issue. It is often used when there is no clear consensus on an issue, and can be used to generate both quantitative and qualitative data.

The Delphi method begins with a group of experts who are asked to anonymously provide their opinions on the issue at hand. These responses are then compiled and shared with the group, who are then asked to revise their original opinion in light of the new information. This process is repeated until there is a clear consensus on the issue.

The Delphi method is an effective way to gather expert opinions, but it does have some drawbacks. First, it can be time-consuming, as it can take several rounds of deliberations before a consensus is reached. Second, it relies heavily on the expertise of the participants, and so if the participants are not knowledgeable about the issue, the results may not be accurate.
