Digital Signature Certificates

Digital Signature Certificates (DSCs) are secure electronic documents provided to its subscribers for the purpose of authenticating and validating online information. At its core, it is an electronic form of identity verification which replaces a paper-based identity authentication system. DSCs are issued by a Certification Authority, and hold information about the holder’s name, email address, date of issue, expiry date and other details. These digital certificates enable users to digitally sign any document or communication in order to prove its authenticity and validate the content. This is particularly useful in business dealings where parties must verify they are legitimate. With digital signatures, businesses can protect their confidential data and build trust with their customers.
