Esignature Legal Requirements

eSignature Legal Requirements are electronic requirements that allow individuals and businesses to sign contracts, waivers and other documents electronically. In order for an eSignature to be legally binding, it must adhere to a strict set of criteria including the sender’s digital identity being verifiable, the document being accessible for review before signing, and proof that the signature was made with intent to enter into a contract. By meeting these criteria, eSignatures offer the same legal standing as pen-and-paper signatures, allowing companies to reduce costs and close deals faster.
