Fair Trade Foundation

Fair Trade Foundation Definition

In order to be classified as a Fair Trade product, it must meet certain standards set forth by the Fair Trade Foundation. These standards ensure that the farmers and workers who produce the goods are paid a fair wage, work in safe conditions, and are not exploited. The Fair Trade Foundation also works to promote gender equality and environmental sustainability within the supply chain. By buying Fair Trade certified products, consumers can help support these efforts.
