Line Flow

Line Flow Definition

In business, line flow is the continuous and efficient movement of products or services from one stage of production to the next. In other words, it’s the smooth and uninterrupted passage of work as it moves through each step of the manufacturing process.

An effective line flow definition will help managers to identify potential bottlenecks and inefficiencies in their processes, and take steps to improve them. In some cases, line flow can be improved by simply rearranging the order of production steps. In others, it may require investing in new machinery or changing the way workers are trained.

Whatever the solution, the goal is always the same: to keep work moving smoothly and efficiently through the production process, so that finished products can be delivered to customers on time and without delays.
