Material Requirement Plan

A Material Requirement Plan (MRP) is a production planning and inventory control system used by businesses to efficiently manage their operations. It provides information regarding when and how much raw materials, parts and components need to be purchased in order to meet customer demands. By calculating the necessary resources at periodic intervals, companies can establish an organized process for scheduling, receiving and shipping goods. MRP also accounts for wastage and returns while ensuring timely delivery of finished products to customers.
