Notice Of Intent To Vacate

Notice Of Intent To Vacate is a formal notice provided by tenants to their landlords that informs the landlord of the tenant’s intention to vacate the leased premises by a certain date. This intention usually needs to be stated in written form so there is no confusion or ambiguity surrounding the tenant’s intended departure date. It also allows the landlord time to ensure that they receive payment for any outstanding rent, and to make other necessary arrangements for taking back possession of the property. A Notice Of Intent To Vacate should include the full name of the tenant and the address of the tenancy, along with a confirmation of the intended move-out date, as well as an official signature from the tenant.
