Operating Revenue

Operating Revenue is the money a business brings in from its day-to-day activities. It’s the difference between total sales (or ‘gross revenue’) and any costs incurred during the business transaction, such as cost of goods sold or sales discounts. In other words, Operating Revenue represents the amount of money a company generates directly from its operations — no matter what form it takes — to cover overhead and grow. Put simply, Operating Revenue helps companies stay competitive and profitable in the long run.
