Procurement Roles

Procurement Roles are the activities and responsibilities associated with the acquisition of goods and services. Procurement roles typically involve the identification of potential suppliers, the negotiation of cost and payment terms, the selection of suppliers, and the management of the contractual relationship with suppliers. It also involves the monitoring of supplier performance, the management of inventory and ordering, the resolution of any disputes, and the management of any risks associated with the procurement process.

In most businesses, the Procurement Roles are divided between the Procurement Manager and the Procurement Officer. The Procurement Manager is responsible for the overall management of the procurement process, including the negotiation of contracts, the selection of suppliers, and the management of the supplier relationship.
