Project Dependencies

Project dependencies is an important concept in the business world. It is a term used to refer to the relationship between two or more tasks, activities, or projects that are linked to each other. A dependency is created when a task, activity, or project is dependent on the completion of one or more other tasks, activities, or projects in order for it to be completed. The official business definition of project dependencies is that they are “the interdependencies among projects, tasks, activities, and resources that must be managed in order to complete a project on time and within budget.” In order to manage project dependencies, it is necessary to identify the tasks, activities, and/or projects that are dependent upon each other and plan accordingly. This involves setting clear milestones, assigning responsible individuals for each task, and monitoring progress.
