Proof Of Concept

Proof of concept (POC) is a term used in business and software development to describe the demonstration of a concept or product. A POC is often required in order to gain funding or approval for a project from stakeholders.

In procurement, a POC may be required in order to demonstrate that a new supplier can meet the requirements of the buyer. The POC may involve the creation of a prototype or sample product, or it may be a test purchase of goods or services.
