Quantitative Analysis Definition

Quantitative Analysis is the process of deriving meaning from data that can be expressed in numbers. It is used to understand trends, make predictions, and test hypotheses.

In business, quantitative analysis is used to analyze data from surveys, financial reports, and other sources to make decisions about marketing, product development, and other areas. In the social sciences, it is used to study human behavior. In the natural sciences, it is used to study physical phenomena.

Quantitative analysis generally relies on statistical methods to derive conclusions from data. This means that quantitative analysts need to have a strong understanding of statistics. They also need to be able to use software programs designed for statistical analysis, such as Excel or SPSS.
