Redline Legal Definition

A redline is a document that shows all the changes made to a previous version of the document. In the legal world, a redline can be used to show the differences between two versions of a contract or agreement.

When lawyers negotiate contracts, they will often use a redline to track the changes made to the document. This allows both parties to see what has been added or removed from the original agreement. This can be helpful in ensuring that everyone is on the same page and that no important details have been left out.

If you’re ever asked to sign a contract, be sure to review it carefully and make sure you understand all of the changes that have been made. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask your lawyer for clarification.
