Redlined Version

Redlined Version Definition

A redlined version is a document that includes tracked changes or markup showing proposed edits. Redlining is often used in the legal field to mark up contracts and other documents. In software development, a redlined version may be created when code changes are made to fix bugs or add new features. The term can also be used more generally to refer to any document that has been edited and includes proposed changes.
