Requisitioning

Requisitioning Definition

In business, requisitioning is the process of requesting needed materials, supplies, or equipment. The request can come from an individual employee or a department within a company. Once the requisition is approved, it becomes an official purchase order.

There are a few different types of requisitions:

1. Internal requisitions are requests for materials or services that will be used within the company.

2. External requisitions are requests for materials or services that will be provided by an outside vendor.

3. Service requisitions are requests for services such as repairs, maintenance, or installation.

4. Emergency requisitions are requests for materials or services that are needed immediately due to unforeseen circumstances.
