Subjective Measures

Subjective Measures Definition

Subjective measures are those that obtain data from people’s responses to questions or tasks. The advantage of subjective measures is that they can provide insights into people’s inner thoughts and feelings, which may be difficult to obtain through other methods. The disadvantage of subjective measures is that they are often reliant on people’s self-report and may be subject to biases such as social desirability bias.

Some common examples of subjective measures include surveys, interviews, and focus groups. While these methods can be useful in obtaining rich data, it is important to be aware of their limitations when interpreting results.
