Traditional Supply Chain

Traditional Supply Chain is a series of processes and activities that begin with procuring raw materials, making products from those materials, and then delivering them to retailers or end customers. It’s a process that has been used for centuries, from local farmers trading goods at the market, to modern day manufacturers shipping goods all over the world. The key components of traditional supply chain involve planning, sourcing, production, warehouse storage, distribution, and retail sales. From the moment raw materials enter the factory gates through to their arrival at a shop shelf, traditional supply chain is about making sure goods are produced on-time and in-budget in order to meet customer requirements.
