Vertical Integration In Supply Chain

Vertical integration in supply chain is the practice of expanding your operations by incorporating activities throughout the different stages of production. This means that a business would control multiple aspects of its value chain, from sourcing and production all the way to distribution and ultimately sales. The goal of vertical integration is to increase efficiency and reduce costs by removing bottlenecks and streamlining the whole process. By controlling more of the value chain, businesses are better equipped to respond quickly to customer and market demands.
