Approved Supplier List

An approved supplier list (ASL) is a collection of pre-approved suppliers that have been vetted and qualified by a company to provide goods or services. The ASL can be used as a procurement tool to streamline the sourcing process and ensure that only qualified suppliers are considered for projects.

The ASL definition can vary from company to company, but typically includes criteria such as supplier qualifications, performance history, financial stability, and compliance with safety and quality standards. The ASL may also include supplier diversity requirements. Once a supplier is approved for the ASL, they are typically re-evaluated on a regular basis to ensure they continue to meet the criteria for inclusion.
