Chief Financial Officer Responsibilities

A Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the financial operations of an organization. The CFO has the authority to make major financial decisions and ensure that the company meets its financial targets. They are also responsible for developing and implementing strategies around financial analysis, budgeting, capital expenditure, accounting, taxation, forecasting, treasury and risk management. The CFO ensures an organization’s financial stability by taking the necessary steps to reduce costs, increase profits, and maintain a healthy cash flow. As such, they work closely with the CEO and other members of the executive team to develop plans and strategies to reach business objectives.
