Corporate Controller Duties

As a Corporate Controller, you serve as the financial leader of an organization and are responsible for directing all aspects of its accounting. Whether you’re leading day-to-day operations or overseeing the strategy of an entire finance team, a Corporate Controller must be able to effectively manage their tasks while navigating the complexities of corporate governance. The duties of a Corporate Controller include overseeing the preparation of financial statements, managing internal and external audits, reviewing financial performance, implementing risk management plans, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Additionally, Corporate Controllers design tax strategies in order to maximize profits and minimize taxes, provide guidance regarding financial decision-making, and maintain relationships with certified public accountants and other advisory professionals in order to ensure regulatory rules and company interests are upheld.
