S&Op Maturity Model Definition
The S&Op Maturity Model is a framework for assessing the maturity of an organization’s Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. The model consists of four levels of maturity, each representing a higher level of sophistication and functionality in the S&OP process.
The four levels of maturity are:
1. Level 1: Basic S&OP
2. Level 2: Integrated S&OP
3. Level 3: Advanced S&OP
4. Level 4: Optimized S&OP
Level 1: Basic S&OP
At this level, the organization has a basic understanding of the need for S&OP and has implemented some basic elements of the process. There is typically little to no integration between sales and operations at this level, and plans are developed separately for each department with little or no coordination between them.
Level 2: Integrated S&OP
At this level, the organization has begun to integrate its sales and operations planning processes, resulting in better coordination between the two departments. Plans are still developed separately, but there is now a mechanism in place for cross-functional communication and alignment.
Level 3: Advanced S&OP
At this level, the organization has further refined its integrated S&OP process, resulting in even greater coordination between sales and operations. Plans are now developed jointly by representatives from both departments, taking into account the inputs and constraints of each function.
Level 4: Optim
