TSOs (Third-sector organizations)
Third sector organizations (TSOs) are non-governmental and non-profit entities such as charities, voluntary organisations, social enterprises, and co-operatives. These organizations aim to achieve “social good” by delivering services that improve the lives of local communities. They operate independently from governments or commercial businesses and often provide an important public service. In the context of procurement, TSOs are those organizations which can be contracted for services or resources in order to meet a particular need. They play an essential role in encouraging competition and market diversity in the procurement process.
