Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) are for-profit companies owned, operated and controlled by women who are US citizens. In the realm of procurement, WBEs are certified companies that provide similar services as minority businesses, however, they lack racial or ethnic certification status. Furthermore, WBEs benefit from increased access to large corporations and government contracts due to their unique qualifications.
