EPO (Emergency purchase order)

EPO (Emergency purchase order)

An Emergency Purchase Order (EPO) is a procurement process that involves the expedited procurement and delivery of certain goods or services. It is used to procure items when there is an immediate need for the item/service and waiting for a regular purchase order (PO) is not an option. EPOs are usually requested due to safety concerns, product defects, and asset downtime. They can be used whenever there is a need to respond quickly to an emergency situation in order to mitigate potential damages or losses.
