PIN (Prior Information Notice)

PIN (Prior Information Notice)

A Prior Information Notice (PIN) is an official business document issued by public procurement bodies to promote competition and ensure a fair process for procuring goods, services and works. It provides interested providers of such goods, services and works with the opportunity to present their offers prior to the formal opening of tenders. PINs can be used in any EU member state and must include details of the procedure being conducted, its objectives and the legal basis for it. This information helps potential bidders understand the requirements of the procurement process and assess their suitability for participating in it.
