ACCO (Agency Chief Contracting Officer)
ACCO stands for Agency Chief Contracting Officer, and is a position in the procurement process. The ACCO is responsible for leading all contracting activities within their assigned agency, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and managing the organization’s resources to ensure highest value for taxpayer money. The ACCO works closely with operational departments to develop comprehensive and cost-effective contracts, as well as oversee performance of the same so that timelines and quality standards are met.
