OMB (Office of Management and Budget)
The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) serves as the President’s chief policy advisor in setting out federal budget policies and the management of public funds. Within the executive branch, OMB is responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing government-wide financial policies related to procurement, budgeting, accounting, finance, and management systems. OMB also works with other agencies to ensure that regulations are in place to protect taxpayers and promote efficient and effective operations within the federal government. By providing guidance on budget execution and planning for the government’s financial resources, OMB helps shape the policies necessary for successful procurement management. This includes developing and finalizing regulations to ensure compliance with laws governing the expenditure of funds.
