Needs Assessment

A needs assessment is a systematic process for determining and documenting the need for a project or program. The purpose of a needs assessment is to identify unmet needs within a community or target population and to develop strategies to address those needs.

There are many different ways to conduct a needs assessment, but all approaches share some common steps, including:

1. Defining the problem or need

2. Identifying the stakeholders

3. Collecting data

4. Analyzing the data

5. Developing recommendations

6. Presenting the findings
