Replenish

When we think of the word replenish, we often think of filling something back up that has become empty. In other words, to restore or replace something that has been used up. For example, if you’ve just run out of shampoo, you would go to the store and replenish your supply.

But the definition of replenish goes beyond just refilling a container. It also includes the idea of restoring something to a former state or condition. So, if you are feeling low on energy, you might replenish your system with some vitamins and minerals.

The word can also be used in a more figurative sense. If someone has done something to deplete your faith or hope, you might need to find a way to replenish it.
