Spot Buying

Spot Buying Definition

Spot buying is the term used for purchasing goods or services at the current market price, without any contractual agreement in place. This type of buying is often done when companies have a immediate need for goods or services, and are not concerned with getting the best possible price. Spot buying can also be done as a way to test out a new supplier, before entering into a long-term contract.
