Advanced Quality Planning (Aqp) Definition
Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) is a quality assurance tool that helps companies plan for and achieve consistent product quality. AQP begins with a customer need or requirement and uses statistical and analytical techniques to develop plans and processes to meet that need.
AQP can be used in various industries, but it is most commonly used in the automotive industry. In the automotive industry, suppliers must meet rigorous quality standards set by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). AQP helps suppliers develop plans and processes to meet these quality standards.
There are four steps in the AQP process:
1. Identify customer needs and requirements
2. Develop plans and processes to meet those needs
3. Implement the plans and processes
4. Evaluate the results
