Assertiveness

Assertiveness Definition

When most people think of assertiveness, they think of someone who is pushy or aggressive. However, assertiveness is not about being pushy or aggressive. Assertiveness is about being confident and standing up for yourself. It’s about knowing what you want and asking for it.

Assertiveness can be difficult to define because it means different things to different people. For some people, being assertive means speaking up for yourself and standing up for your rights. For others, it might mean saying no to requests or demands that you don’t want to do.

Assertiveness is a skill that you can learn and practice. If you’re not sure how to be more assertive, there are many resources available to help you learn this important skill.
