A Business Requirements Definition (BRD) is a document that outlines the high-level business requirements for a project or initiative. It is typically created by business analysts during the requirements gathering phase of a project.

The BRD should contain:

1. An overview of the project or initiative

2. The business need or opportunity that is being addressed

3. The high-level requirements for the project, including any functional and non-functional requirements

4. Any constraints or assumptions that have been identified

5. The Business Requirements Definition may also contain information about how the requirements will be met, such as through a proposed solution or system design
