Business Rules Engine

A business rules engine (BRE) is a system that enables organizations to make decisions more quickly, efficiently and accurately. It takes the form of a software application that runs on a company’s infrastructure and uses an easy-to-understand language to define “rules” that are then used to automatically generate actionable outcomes. BREs are designed to help businesses automate processes and replace manual decision making. They also reduce errors, as they allow companies to use precise criteria when taking actions or applying policies. Ultimately, a business rules engine can be incredibly valuable in helping businesses improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction – all while reducing costs.
