Capital Account: The part of an individual’s or an organization’s financial statements that records the purchases and cash inflows (assets) and sales and cash outflows (liabilities). It indicates the financial health of an individual or company by tracking their capital transactions such as investments, debt repayment, dividends, taxes, and other revenue. In finance, it is also used to refer to a country’s external accounts, which includes its balance of payments position and foreign investment flows.
